The Hôtel le Provence, nestling in the heart of the mountains of the Ardèche on the border between the departments of Lozère and Haute-Loire, is an ideal starting point for exploring this land of volcanoes and springs, between Mont Mézenc and the Massif of the Tanargue, in a well-preserved natural heritage environment.

The region is a veritable reservoir for the whole of France, set between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. It is known for its pastureland, hay meadows, woodland, remarkable plant life and Fario trout. When out for walks you will happen upon magnificent landscapes with the horizon stretching from the Alps to Mont Lozère and La Margeride with numerous superb vantage points, and magnificent sites (Issarlès lake, Le Bouchet lake, Mont Gerbier de Jonc, Col de Meyrand, the Upper valley of the Ardèche, Le Pont d'Arc with the Grotte Chauvet soon to open …)

You can also get to know its architecture of stone, paving stones and broom with its fortified churches, open bell towers, remains of abbeys and castles…

Finally, the sheer hospitality of the area will endear it to you whether you are a visitor or merely passing through.
